The A60 Ankle Brace provides support and stability for ankle injuries and prevention of sprains. Here’s a comprehensive guide on positioning, securing, and removing the brace.
Wear an Ankle Sock: Start by putting on an ankle sock to protect your skin and improve comfort.
Unfasten the Straps: Open the A60 ankle brace by unfastening the Velcro straps.
Align the Brace: Slip your foot in and place your heel snugly into the heel pocket of the brace. Ensure the side supports (stabilisers) are positioned correctly on either side of your ankle.
1. Close the Velcro at the top: First begin by sticking the Velcro together at the top of the brace
2. Wrap the Lower Half of Strap: Start by wrapping the lower half of the strap around your ankle. Pull it firmly but not too tight and secure the Velcro.
3. Wrap the Upper Half of Strap: Next, wrap the upper half of the strap around the lower part of your calf, threading it through the strap pocket and folding the strap back on itself to secure it. Again, ensure it’s snug but comfortable.
1. Check the Fit: Ensure the brace feels secure and provides the necessary support without cutting off circulation.
2. Adjust as Needed: Make minor adjustments to the straps for optimal comfort and support.
Please refer to the video below to provide you with an active demonstration of putting on the A60 Ankle Brace.
1. Taking Off The Strap: Begin by unstrapping the Velcro and threading it back out of the strap pocket.
2. Undo The Strap: Next remove the upper half of the strap around your calf and then remove the lower half of the strap around your ankle.
Gently Slide Off: Carefully slide the brace off your foot, ensuring not to disturb any injury.
Wear Supportive Shoes: For the best support, wear the A60 Ankle Brace with a pair of supportive athletic shoes, such as laced trainers.
Monitor for Comfort: Throughout the day, check the fit of the brace. If it becomes uncomfortable or too tight, adjust the straps as needed.
Activity Adaptation: You can wear the brace during various activities, but always follow the advice of your healthcare provider regarding its use during specific activities or sports.
