I first met Zoe following knee surgery to repair my ruptured patella tendon in October 2012. She came very highly recommended by my consultant & I can totally see why! She has a wealth of knowledge & is so supportive which has undoubtably aided my recovery no end. We also didn’t stop laughing at any stage & 3 years on, we are still in contact & very good friends. I really appreciate everything she’s done for me.
Zoe has developed excellent skills in the management of foot and ankle disorders and has looked after many of my patients with great success since 2010. The concept of home and work visits that Physiomotion Limited provide is particularly useful, especially in the early phase of recovery from surgery when mobility is limited. Zoe works alongside several expert physiotherapy colleagues and regularly attended our team meetings ensuring that she is totally up to date with new and progressive treatments. I have valued PhysioMotion’s input in supporting my patients through their recovery and return to sport and recreational pursuits.
I have worked with Zoe since 2010, and I can confidently say that she has been an invaluable asset in the treatment of my patients. Zoe has demonstrated excellent rehabilitation skills in multiple modalities. My patients and fellow staff speak very highly of PhysioMotion, both in regards to their knowledge of spinal pain management and also as people. She clearly has true passion for the physiotherapy profession, which is reflected in the quality of her work. I would undoubtedly recommend any future patients to PhysioMotion Limited.
I have known Zoe Birch for over 10 years. She runs an excellent mobile physio service that delivers high quality physiotherapy input to patients within their own homes. This is especially useful for those who find it difficult to travel and for those who are recovering from surgery.
She has treated several members of my own family, and I have witnessed at first hand the support, compassion and expertise that she delivers to her patients. Nothing is too much trouble, and many of the patients become friends.
I cannot recommend her highly enough and all my patient speak very highly of her and I have seen that with her input their healing times have been significantly reduced and they have been able to return to their activities of daily living in a much shorter time.
The injury has been one of the hardest things I’ve had to go through and overcome but it has been made so much easier by Zoe’s help, attitude and energy! Now 11 months post-op and so far I have not had any issues, for which I’m very grateful. Thank you for such a wonderful Physio.
Zoe and Physiomotion are simply brilliant... Having had 44 years of luck and no-injury I blew my knee quite royally when skiing. Full knee reconstruction followed and then Zoe arrived, thank the lord for that.
Her balance of carrot and stick helped drive me to get better, her technical insight on what I was going through was remarkable and the clarity of advice got me back to where I am now - skiing, running and generally doing all the things that real people do.
She is remarkably good at what she does, whilst being completely understated and consistently supportive. Finally, she helped as much with the physical rehabilitation as the psychological. So so so appreciate all you have done... I couldn't recommend her more strongly (indeed she has also been instrumental in helping my teenage lacrosse playing daughter get back to full power).
Zoe is an amazingly talented, dedicated and caring physiotherapist. I was referred to her by my surgeon following foot surgery and was unable to walk properly at that stage. It was as much about confidence as physical weakness. However, with Zoe's care and expert guidance it wasn't long before I was well on my way to recovery, despite that we were in lockdown and working on my recovery remotely!
Zoe's flexible approach ensured that the remote approach worked well, she listened carefully to my concerns, always provided the right solutions, was there to provide guidance in between sessions when needed and kept my surgeon updated, which was also very helpful. Her physio skills are unmatched and her kindness is boundless.
I am very grateful to Zoe for making my recovery a quick and enjoyable experience and would thoroughly recommend her. She is quite simply the best and at the top of her profession.
I can highly recommend Zoe, because I only saw here briefly! - within 6 weeks my knee injury had disappeared and I was back in the gym, running on the road and also kickboxing. The strengthening program she provided was absolutely spot on and tailored to my individual needs. Thank you Zoe!
After ACL reconstructive surgery I was struggling to find a physio then I met Zoe. I was quite daunted at the months of rehab that lay ahead but from the first session she made me feel I would get through it and positive about my recovery.
Zoe guided me through each phase of rehab, pushing me when necessary and reassuring me when things got frustrating. At every stage it was clear what I needed to be doing and Zoe was always just a message away if I was unsure about anything.
With her wealth of knowledge, kindness and support I am 10 months post surgery with no issues. I couldn't recommend Zoe highly enough, not only because of her professional skills but she is a lovely person and a smiling face that made some of my toughest times much brighter!
I can’t recommend Zoe enough, she helped me so much with my hip and regularly checked up with me and how to progress the exercises. Best physio experience I’ve had.
Zoe has been a fantastic help to me as I recovered from bilateral bunion surgery. With friendly, warm professionalism, she systematically encouraged and pushed me to extend my recovery and now, 6 months on, I’m delighted with the result. I’d wholeheartedly recommend her services.
I went to Zoe after an ankle injury continued to bother me when I tried to run. She did a thorough assessment, identified the issue and gave me physio plans to follow. A few months later I’m back running the distances I used to and am stronger than I was before with a longer term strengthening programme to follow to prevent future injuries. I’d recommend Zoe to others.
I have had the pleasure of Zoe treating me for a hamstring injury, I had overextended my hamstrings whilst lifting weights and they were very tight, I stretched them but they did not seem to be recovering.
I loved Zoe's approach to treatment, it was all related to getting the hamstrings strong again to enable them to work efficiently and to enable me to lift weights. Each session we did work in the gym and she set me some challenging exercises for me to do in my own time. Within no time at all I was back in the gym with hamstrings that were more stronger and less likely to get injured. Zoe is my go to physio, so when I injured my upper back she was the person who I went to see. I can highly recommend her, she is professional, motivational, extremely reliable with a personal approach.
When rehabilitating from having ankle surgery I was frustrated at not being able to exercise and specifically to run like I used to. Every time I slowly introduced it I would reach a pain point at which I had to back down and never seemed to be progressing. Zoe not only gave a comprehensive evaluation, working out exactly what was going on where but she meticulously built up the exercises to a point where I now run 10km or more every other day with no issues. Her communication is brilliant, she listens carefully and thoughtfully explains everything genuinely taking the time to really understand what’s going to work best for you as an individual. Added to this her follow through and support was second to none.
Zoe has worked with me twice, once when I broke my leg badly and again several years later when I tore my hamstring. In both instances, Zoe was expert at diagnosing the issues I had and at figuring out an effective long-term course of physiotherapy to address those issues. She is thoroughly knowledgeable, professional, and fun to work with, and I could not recommend her more highly.
Zoe worked with my wife on a far more serious injury in the past, so it was not surprising that she was able to quickly and accurately diagnose the irritation in my knee and to create a bespoke exercise regime to address the problem. She is extraordinarily knowledgeable and competent and I would recommend her to anyone.
Three major procedures on my cervical and lumber spine cured the agonising pain that I had been suffering but inevitably left weakness and impaired function throughout my body. I was directed to Zoe Birch, who personally completed my rehabilitation, mainly through hydrotherapy, dealing with residual pain and weakness.
I am truly grateful for Ms Birch highly skilled treatment, her attention to detail and empathy with my situation. With Zoe leading them, I have no hesitation in endorsing the PhysioMotion team.
Zoe is the most diligent, helpful and caring physiotherapist you could ever hope to be treated by. She combines deep knowledge and expertise with a delightfully enthusiastic and caring personality. Her approach to treatment and aftercare are second to none. I cannot recommend her highly enough. Not to forget to mention that behind every good woman is another one, her fantastically helpful and efficient behind the scenes administration assistant, Claire, for whom nothing seems too much trouble. Thank you to you both for your wonderful support.
Physio was excellent and helped speed up my recovery with increased confidence that I could overcome my injury. Zoe provided me with netball specific physio which has enable me to play netball without an ankle brace.
My knowledge of Physios is limited, but from day one I had every confidence in Zoe’s knowledge, her enthusiasm and obvious care about getting me back on my feet. We set a goal for me to cycle in the Alps 6 months following the surgery which we achieved.
I was confident at every stage of my treatment that Zoe was very knowledgeable and that she took special care to discover the problems she needed to deal with. I blame my rapid recovery on her and if I ever need physio help in the future, I know whom to ring.
I feel extremely fortunate to have been treated by Zoe. She always began her consultation by asking if I had experienced any problems since seeing her last, dealing with these patiently and always explaining things with clarity. She would incorporate into the consultation solutions to any problems I had experienced. When you are unable to walk, you are naturally very fearful, but I soon learnt that Zoe was utterly trustworthy. She would never ask me to do anything that would put me at risk and at the same time helped me to achieve things I thought I could never do.
I was referred to Zoe in October 2015 via a consultant as I was experiencing running injuries. My goal had always been to run Comrades Ultra marathon in 2016 for my 40th birthday. Zoe worked very hard to help me through my training, providing both treatment and guidance with exercises. She was always flexible with times and dates which made treatment much easier. I achieved my goal of reaching the finish line in May 2016 and I am sure I wouldn't have made the start or the finish line without Zoe's help. Thank you Zoe.
I’m so grateful I had Zoe to help me through the hardest, most demoralising part of my recovery. She was energetic and positive and helped pick me up, whilst also pushing me to get back and believing in my ankle. She’s immensely skilled, from mobilisation to acupuncture, and I couldn’t have recovered as quickly or as positively without her.
Zoe was recommended to me by my orthopaedic surgeon, after my right hip was replaced. I wanted a physiotherapist with the expertise to speed my recovery and get me mobile as quickly as possible, who could also gently build up my general fitness. Zoe fully qualified on both counts, and soon had me walking and getting around without any aids, to such an extent that my friends and family were honestly amazed.
Zoe obviously knows what she is doing, and clearly understands the effects of the hip surgery, tailoring her exercise program each visit to my immediate needs and physical state. Six months after surgery I now often forget that I have had hip replacement, due both to skilful surgery and Zoe’s excellent physiotherapy treatment.
I went to Zoe Birch after badly fracturing my calcaneous. Best decision I could have made in my recovery. Fully supported me whilst encouraging me to believe I would get back on my feet again. Very experienced with plenty of Hands on therapy and exercises. Highly recommend.
Zoe worked wonders getting my ankle moving again after I had been non-weight-bearing for a couple of months following surgery to repair a split in my peroneal tendon. Her visits were challenging but fun – and it was great having exercises designed for me to do in my own home.
I met Zoe Birch after a horse riding accident resulting in me sustaining multiple fractures in my ribs, spine, pelvis and left leg. I was very anxious about my ability to return to normal especially as I was initially finding it difficult to even roll over in bed. Zoe was fantastic and visited me at home the day after I was discharged from hospital. She provided me with confidence and reassurance at once and throughout my recovery. She maintained communication with all the consultants involved with my recovery to ensure they were aware of my progress and after my reviews what the next step I could take.
The other thing that was great about Zoe is she didn’t just treat the areas that had been injured but look at how these could impact other areas of my body due to increase use of these areas, such as my arms and neck especially when I was non-weightbearing. I would highly recommend Zoe, which I have often done when any of my friends or colleagues complain about their aches and pains or injuries.
I feel very confident in Zoe. She is clearly very experienced in treating plantar fasciitis and had a clear plan about how she would treat and cure this problem. What I particularly liked is Zoe’s insistence that a significant part of the long term solution lay with me. She could help. But I also had to help myself. She provided me with exercises for treating my condition, but also provided thoughts about posture, running and walking styles. Zoe was always courteous, considerate and very professional in her work. She clearly takes pride and has passion for her work, which gives me no hesitation in recommending her to a friend.
Zoe is the most diligent, helpful, knowledgable and caring physio you could ask for. Her understanding of my injury and her interaction with my surgeon meant that I received the absolute best treatment and advice at every stage of my journey to full recovery from a total achilles tendon rupture. I know that I could never have made such a strong recovery in such a short space of time if it hadn’t been for Zoe. I can’t recommend her highly enough.
I had two sessions with Anjulie at PhysioMotion to work on a foot injury I developed just before I ran the London Marathon. Anjulie went above and beyond during and outside of the sessions to make sure I was ready for race day. I was pain free on the day thanks to the work Anjulie did on my feet in the session and the exercises she gave me to do at home. I can't recommend PhysioMotion enough.
As a keen sports player I have had many injuries which has required physio in the past, however I can confidently say that treatment with Zoe is the best treatment I have ever had from a physio. She is very approachable and makes sure you fully understand the science or mechanics behind your injury so that you know how the exercises she sets for you will help you recover. She takes her time to take you through the exercises so she knows you're performing them properly and she even sends videos of the exercises so that you don't forget them once you've left the clinic. Additionally she is very easy to contact and is swift at replying to any concerns you may over text, which is a bonus!
I came to Zoe with chronic lower back pain in spasm. She quickly got to the source and patched me up, but crucially gave me short and long term exercises to get me through the next week and then longer term prevention. The cautious approach - not doing too much too quickly - was spot on. Would highly recommend.
Following a sesamoid excision surgery on my left foot, Zoe helped me return to full activity very quickly. She was hugely knowledgeable and attentive and our sessions were challenging and engaging. I was impressed with how flexible Zoe was to my recovery timetable, scheduling sessions in sooner as I was making quicker progress. I feel this definitely reduced the overall time I spent getting back to fully active.
Zoe was the most wonderful support to me following my abdominal surgery. She was kind, knowledgable, professional, and always contactable for advice when I needed her. The excercises she gave me were excellent and considered, and by following them, my abdomen and stomach has recovered well and is strong and flat. I am hugely grateful to Zoe and I couldn't recommend her more.
Zoe, is the ultimate professional. After having a knee injury for many weeks, I went to her & within a few visits she identified the source of the problem. She worked hard on the affected area & with excellent exercises, in 10 sessions, my injury was repaired. I can't rate her more highly & would recommend her to anyone for excellent knowledge, advice & recovery. She is the go to person for Physiotherapy.
I have seen a lot of physios in my life and Zoe is by far the best! She did a fantastic job tailoring a rehab programme to my specific goals and put as much dedication into it whether the goal was wearing high heels or running 10K. I really felt like she listened to what I needed, made sure I was making progress, and liaised very well with the consultant. She's great at answering questions whenever they come up and making sure you never feel alone in your recovery.
Zoe has been helping me get my knees into better condition following an old knee injury and joint deterioration. Before I met her I thought I needed an imminent knee replacement. Her focus on precises alignment was a game changer for my knees. Following her advice and exercises I recently enjoyed a downhill skiing holiday. Zoe is positive and professional. Her home visits plus video clips make it easy to follow the exercise schedule.
Anjulie played an important role in the rehabilitation of a very painful dislocated knee. Exercises progressed over time to become more challenging as the knee improved. She was also extremely supportive and the home visits were very convenient. I recommend her highly.
Zoe is wonderful, she expertly diagnosed the issue (missed by others) and identified imbalances in my knee and ankle.
She evidently has a wealth of talent and experience, devising an exercise plan and adapting it as treatment progressed. The result of which was that a few weeks after hobbling in to see her I was again running and power-lifting.
I met Anjulie two years ago when PhysioMotion was highly recommended to me by a close friend for my mothers rehabilitation after a fall.
I had been suffering in silence for a number of months due to a leg injury. I thought I was going to be in pain with it for a long time, however, Anjulie transformed my life completely. With carefully planed sessions of physio, exersise, diet and relaxation tips all delivered in the comfort of my home, I soon became a fun loving energetic human begin once again.
I also made an amazing friend along the way who I very much look forward to having regular sessions with. My mother is doing well also. Thank you Anjulie.
When I first met Anjulie I was at my lowest both physically and mentally.
I had been living with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus coming up to thirty years and was experiencing very sharp lung pains in the sides, back and front of my lungs which were very debilitating. The doctors were unsure whether it was lupus related or muscular in nature. Also my mobility was deteriorating and I was finding this all rather distressing.
Anjulie assessed what was going on and quickly put a plan in action to rebuild the strength both in my lungs and legs. We engaged in breath work exercises, upper body exercises and of course leg work exercises to increase my mobility.
I found her to be very easy to talk to, supportive and a good listener. She showed me that there was still a lot that I could do and she encouraged me to not be frightened to go that bit further.
She was instrumental in increasing my confidence as every time we had a session I was very surprised by what I was able to do with her. Because I was in a lot of pain, when she worked on my back I could instantly feel the release of the stress and stiffness that was held there from these extreme periods of pain and this helped immensely.
Although there is a lot going on with my health I can feel the difference that Anjulie has brought to my life and I will always be very thankful to her for her knowledge, professionalism, skill set, always happy and positive attitude and empathy. I have every confidence that with Anjulie guiding me I will grow even more strength to manage my condition every day.
We would be delighted to hear what we got right so we can keep on doing it.
Our helpful team is ready and waiting. We love helping people get back to doing what they love.
